David Meckfessel founded Silver Oak Partners. David brings financial expertise, operational control and exit discipline from his previous work with the Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group and the Lehman Brothers Health Care Group. David has completed corporate finance and M&A transactions in excess of $6 billion in value for over 50 growth companies and has advised more than 100 companies in developing their business models.

David received a M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Business, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles with College Honors.

Peter Stone serves as adviser to Silver Oak Partners, and has previously served in the Recapitalization & Restructuring Group at Jefferies & Company, Inc. and worked with SG Cowen's Technology Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Before working with SG Cowen, Peter worked for with Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. for eight years in New York City in both M&A and corporate finance. Previously, Peter also worked for Recovery Equity Partners, a private equity firm that acquired distressed companies, and spent four years in public accounting. During his career in investment banking, Peter has advised over 100 companies and executed over 30 M&A and restructuring transactions and 20 public offerings.

Peter received a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and a B.A. in Business-Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill Cosden advises Silver Oak Partners in legal matters.  Bill is a legal executive with broad technology, communications, and energy industry experience. Previously, Bill served as Vice President & General Counsel of Active Technologies, Inc., a web-based (ASP) Incentive Management software startup. Prior to that he was the Director of Legal Affairs, for, an E-Commerce services provider where he provided and managed legal services, including Finance, for E-Commerce stores operating in 6 continents, 10 languages, and 15 currencies. Before joining, Bill was Corporate Counsel for 10 years with the Pacific, Gas & Electric Company where his r esponsibilities included antitrust, commercial, environmental and tort litigation, commercial and real estate transactions, insurance coverage, unlawful business practices defense, and internal investigations and regulatory compliance.

Prior to PG&E, Bill was a Senior Deputy District Attorney with the Alameda County (CA) District Attorney’s Office. There his responsibilities included civil and criminal white-collar and environmental enforcement, and prosecution of unlawful business practices under California Business & Professions Code §17200. Bill is past President of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (“ACC”) San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, and a past Chair of ACC’s National Environmental Law Committee. He is a frequent speaker, including ACC National Meetings and the National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”) programs. Also, Bill is co-founder of the annual Stanford Ecommerce Best Practices Conference. .
